2023 Troop Cookie Manager Guide

How to Get Cookies

Tips and Tricks

Orders placed for girl-delivery and donation on Digital Cookie between Jan. 7– Jan. 29 (or earlier, if you submit your troop’s initial order prior to Jan. 29) will automatically be included in your troop’s initial order numbers. Only the girl-delivery orders through this time, along with paper orders, will arrive with your troop’s initial order. Orders placed for girl-delivery on Digital Cookie after you submit your troop’s initial early order will require the parent/ adult to communicate the number of cookies needed with the Troop Cookie Manager to supply out of troop extras or through a Cookie Cupboard pickup. You will need to enter the packages in eBudde by variety and transfer cookies to the Girl Scout. Specific instructions can be found in the online Troop Cookie Manager guide.

The parent/adult listed on the Digital Cookie site must review and approve all girl-delivery orders within five days of order placement. Remind parents not to approve orders they cannot deliver (i.e. out of town orders or strangers). As Troop Cookie Manager, you will not receive notification of any additional girl-delivery orders for your Girl Scouts; they must let you know they need cookies to fulfill any additional orders. Tip: After your troop’s initial order, give parents/adults a deadline each week to turn in their additional orders and set clear expectations on when you will pick up cookies from the cupboard. Remember, you have the option to set parent/adults in your troop as designated cupboard pickup users in eBudde as well. Your troop has the option to set up a Troop Digital Cookie link that can be used for processing credit card payments at booths, for online customer payment/booth pickup option and for promotion through the Girl Scouts of the USA Cookie Finder. After Jan. 29, the girl-delivery option may be turned off by a parent/adult for an individual Girl Scout. A troop volunteer can request it be turned off for the entire troop by contacting the Answer Center. Always practice safety when selling door-to-door. Never enter a home or vehicle when selling cookies or making a delivery. Adults must accompany Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies and Juniors when taking orders, selling or delivering product. Girl Scouts in grades 6-12 must be supervised by an adult when selling door-to-door and must never sell alone.

Order card orders entered into eBudde and submitted with your troop’s initial order by Jan. 30 will arrive in mid-February. Order card orders placed after your troop submits their initial order in eBudde require the parent/adults to communicate the number and types of cookies to you. Your troop may have extra cookies from your initial early order, or orders may need to be picked up from a Cookie Cupboard. Cookie Cupboards are locations around the council where you can pick up extra cookies for later orders or booths. They are typically volunteer-run and will open the weekend of Feb. 17. Remember, you have the option to set parent/adults in your troop as designated cupboard pickup users in eBudde.
