2023 Girl Scout Impact Report
Girls Lead the Way Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can unapologetically be themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends.
Highlights from programs in 2023 include:
Women in Trucking Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri partnered with Dot
STEM: 8,863
Entrepreneurship: 8,782
Transportation to give girls in grades 6-12 an up-close and personal look at the world of truck driving from a female perspective. Girls engaged with the trucking industry to learn about various roles, whether that’s as a professional driver, engineer, business owner, technician, trainer or corporate professional. NIFTY Program Series NASA Inspires Futures for Tomorrow’s Youth (NIFTY) is a brand new program that consisted of eight events, including workshops and field trips. Through this program, Girl Scouts explored NASA missions and careers by participating in interactive activities and had the unique opportunity to meet with NASA role models. Extreme Adventures The Extreme Adventures program series offers Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors unique and “extreme” outdoor-related opportunities, such as mountain biking, rock climbing, underground kayaking, search and rescue, caving and more.
