Special Thanks To Representatives Our Missouri State Representatives and Senators and the Girl Scout Auxiliary Chairman for the South St. Louis Marine Corps Auxiliary, for attending the Reflections Ceremony.

Girl Scout Volunteers and Committee Members All volunteers who helped plan the event and assisted on-site today.

Frank and Elsie St. Cyr Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri is grateful for the support of Frank and Elsie St. Cyr in establishing a charitable trust for the future benefit of the Girl Scout Gold, Silver and Bronze Award Program. Their gift ensures funding for future Reflections ceremonies and other Council services related to the Girl Scout Gold, Silver and Bronze Award Program. A member of Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri for more than 40 years, Elsie served as a troop leader, Chair of the Activity Scholarship Panel, Chair of the Program Committee and member of the Board of Directors. In 1977, she received the Thanks Badge for her outstanding service to Girl Scouts. At that time, the Thanks Badge was the highest national award for a Girl Scout volunteer, given in recognition of those who have contributed significantly to the mission of Girl Scouts in a variety of ways. For her support and dedication to Girl Scouts, Elsie received the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri Individual Legacy Builder Award in 2014.

Samantha recognized play is crucial for healthy development in children and wanted to do her part to better the playground.

District 7, Troop 3486 Parkway Central High School 12 years in Girl Scouts Taylor filmed a video on Allergy and Asthma awareness to educate her peers on these conditions' importance. Taylor interviewed three doctors who covered background information, triggers and how someone can help during a situation. Taylor posted her video to YouTube.

District 14, Troop 45 Fort Zumwalt East High School 10 years in Girl Scouts After assisting at an overnight camp- out in Hawaii one summer, Alejandra recognized her passion for sharing Girl Scout traditions. Alejandra organized Discovery Girl Scout Day Camp, a three- day camp she designed and led to girls in Kauai, Hawaii.

Recognizing the mass of Americans who have experienced allergic reactions, Zoe wanted to do her part to provide better education on allergies. So, Zoe organized and led workshops and started a podcast and a website to share her information and resources.

Faith recruited students and teachers to form the Green Team to spread awareness of the environment with her peers and to work on sustainability projects throughout the school district. District 7, Troop 2507 Ladue Horton Watkins High School 9 years in Girl Scouts After noticing that measles outbreaks seemed to be on the rise, Ria decided to inform her community on the importance of vaccinations. Ria created brochures, an animated video and a website shared with local schools and clinics in Missouri and Illinois.

Kathryn knew she wanted to do her part to support the children's needs in developing countries to earn her Gold Award. So, Kathryn partnered with The God's Child Project and organized a collection school supplies to send to Guatemala families.

Ashley created a website where she provides information on eight different disasters, how to stay safe during each emergency and a list of necessary items for a disaster kit. District 9, Troop 2892 Marquette Catholic High School 13 years in Girl Scouts Emily worked to create a positive and permanent change in her community when she added three new programs to the St. Stephen's Food Pantry. Individuals visiting the pantry now have opportunities for free birthday bags, school supplies and health screenings.

District 7, Troop 2656 Ladue Horton Watkins High School 12 years in Girl Scouts As a lifelong Girl Scout and avid chess player, Eisenman used her passions to create a chess club of her fellow peers who visit senior centers to play board games. Eisenman and her club visit residents one to two times a month to provide social interaction.

District 5, Troop 3018 Orchard Farms High School 9 years in Girl Scouts Kristi partnered with the St. Charles Borromeo School to provide 20 students with a three-week healthy eating program. Kristi taught the students the importance of making healthy food decisions and provided them with a recipe book of healthy snacks.

Knowing the importance of community service, Elizabeth wanted to share her experience with her fellow peers. Elizabeth organized and led a four-day camp for middle school students at Holy Spirit Catholic School. Elizabeth and her campers worked in the school's garden, cafeteria, gym and hallways.

Knowing that hospitals can be stressful, Courtney wanted to do her part to create an inviting space for people in surgical waiting rooms. Courtney updated the entrance and lobby of the surgical wing at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital.

To earn her Gold Award, Nicole knew she wanted to make an impact on the environment in her community. So, Nicole planted a pollinator garden and made solitary bee houses out of recycled materials to increase the bee population.

Carly combined her passions of writing and Girl Scouts to instill the value of literature and creative writing to earn her Gold Award. Throughout her four- day creative writing workshop, the campers worked on short stories that Carly published into a book and donated to the Crisis Nursery.

Gabriella hosted booths at a local fall festival where she informed her peers about the different community offerings. District 12, Troop 1680 Marquette Senior High School 12 years in Girl Scouts Abby tackled the global issue of refugee assimilation through her Gold Award project. Anne worked with the International Institute in St. Louis to scan and upload documents from the past two decades. Abby's work gives refugees access to their photos and provides more knowledge to the public. District 4, Troop 2074 Fort Zumwalt East High School 7 years in Girl Scouts As an avid equestrian, Melanie knew the benefits to horseback riding, but also the dangers. To earn her Gold Award, Melanie filmed tutorial videos covering the basics of horseback riding and safety tips. Melanie uploaded her videos to YouTube and copied them onto a DVD for local barns to use for beginners.

Ne'Shanti wanted to do her part to help her peers recognize the importance of mental health. Ne'Shanti organized a community event where she gave a speech about issues she acknowledges in her community and how those in attendance can find help and resources.

Krista took action and worked with the Arnold Food Pantry to organize a donation drive to give back to her community. Krista collected coats, gloves, scarfs, and hats given to those in need who lacked sufficient winter clothing.

Ellie took action and created space for an outdoor classroom to earn her Gold Award. Ellie led her team of volunteers to weed, rake, and clean up Maple Grove Elementary School's surrounding outdoor area.

District 8, Troop Juliette Parkway Central High School 13 years in Girl Scouts Navya built a compost bin and installed it at a local elementary school to earn her Gold Award. Navya then created a presentation and lesson plans for the school to implement into their curriculum. Finally, Navya led a team to clean up trash around Creve Coeur Lake.

This remarkable Girl Scout organized and planned a website and coding workshop for young girls. Sabrina created lesson plans, step-by-step worksheets and example websites to teach the girls how to code and design a website.

District 7, Troop 2656 Ladue Horton Watkins High School 10 years in Girl Scouts Olivia practiced the Jewish tradition, Hiddur Mitzvah, to earn her Gold Award. Meaning to beautify good deeds, Olivia constructed a bench for congregants at her local Temple to use to relax and reflect. Olivia also organized rock painting kits and an event guide for families to create a rock garden to surround the new bench. District 8, Troop 4500 Parkway Central High School 11 years in Girl Scouts Aaditi wanted to help her peers de- stress from the pressure of exams to earn her Gold Award. Aaditi started by researching stress relief tactics and compiling her information onto a website. Finally, Aaditi published her website on her school's web page for easy access to all students.

District 6, Troop Juliette Kirkwood Senior High School 14 years in Girl Scouts Knowing the stress caused by the global pandemic, Aleah wanted to take action to bring back positivity in her community. So, this innovative Girl Scout painted inspiring, uplifting messages on 75 rocks and placed them around Kirkwood, MO as easter eggs.
