TARGET SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENT

Target shooting has the ability to foster teamwork, responsibility and focus while teaching important life lessons. Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri is excited to introduce two new activities to camp!

AIR RIFLES Air rifles have arrived at Camp Tuckaho for Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors! Troops camping at Camp Tuckaho during an activity staffed weekend in January, February and March are able to sign up for Air Rifle as one of the offered activities. Spring and summer options for girls will be available in the Spring Inspire Discovery.

COMPOUND BOWS Compound bows will be making their debut at all three camps in March 2021! Troops camping during an activity staffed weekend March through November will be able to sign up for archery which includes compound, recurve and long bows. Not camping during an activity staffed weekend? USA Level 1 Instructors can take their troops to the archery range and check out the compound bows from the supervisor's quarters starting in March 2021.

SERYiCE AT GiRL SCOUT CAMP Service projects at camp can be incorporated into a Troop Camping experience so girls can explore camp's natural resources, while earning service hours or one of Girl Scouts Highest Awards. SERVICE PROJECTS Is your troop interested in a specific service project at camp? Want more information on available projects? HIGHEST AWARD PROJECTS Girls wanting to work on Girl Scout Bronze, Silver or Gold Award projects at camp should contact Jessica lllert, Program Manager, at 314.592.2359 or jillert@girlscoutsem.org for more information and to review potential project ideas.
