2021 April Showers Troop Guide

Promoting the Online Registries Due to the success of Autumn Showers, online registries will also be available for April Showers. This provides an additional option for community members to donate. Donations can be purchased through Walmart’s Registry for Good or Amazon’s Charity List. The registries will be available April 16-25. Girl Scouts have the option to promote the registries online in addition to sticky note promotion. The sticky notes will have a QR code that takes community members to an April Showers page on our website that will link to the available registries.

Additional promotion can be done by: • Helping parents post on social media • Sending emails to friends and family • Making phone calls to friends and family • Creating signs to post in the neighborhood • Creating a video to share online

A branding toolkit is available on the April Showers page of our website with suggested social media posts and graphics.

Counting/Sorting Registry Donations Troops/girls are invited to join us at camp to help count, sort and mark out UPCs on the items donated through the registries. Sign up to help on SignUpGenius. Shifts are available at both Camp Cedarledge and Camp Tuckaho. COVID-19 safety guidelines will be followed to ensure the safety of all members. More information on guidelines and day-of instructions will be sent after sign up. As donations start to come in, there is the potential that additional shifts will be added. This will be communicated through April Showers Coordinators.
