Thirteen-Year Award: This award recognizes the dedication and commitment of a girl member who has participated in Girl Scouting continuously from Girl Scout Daisy through Girl Scout Ambassador

Trefoil: This shape has traditionally represented Girl Scouting; the three broad parts of the trefoil represent the three parts of the Girl Scout Promise. The trefoil with the three profiles must always be used in conjunction with the words “Girl Scout”

Troop Organizer: A volunteer who organizes new troops and helps maintain existing troops

Troop Sponsor: An individual, business, organization or institution that sponsors a Girl Scout troop by providing a meeting place, program support or financial support

Troop Support Coordinator: Responsible for assisting volunteers through the Troop Trip process, accommodation requests and assisting the VSC

USA Girl Scouts Overseas: Girl Scout troops composed of American girls and adults living temporarily in other countries, usually because the girls’ families are on military, government or business assignments

Volunteer Assistance Program: Program to grant assistance funds for registered Girl Scout adults to attend educational and/or personal enrichment opportunities through the Adele M. Buescher Girl Scout Leadership Program or the Tesse B. Werner Volunteer Fund

Volunteer Support Coordinator (VSC): A staff member dedicated to supporting volunteers in a specific district

Volunteer Toolkit (VTK): An online resource for troop leaders and digital planning toll providing meeting plans, program content and troop communication tools. Leaders can edit and parents can view details

Wilderness and Remote First Aid: Course that prepares individuals to provide emergency first aid when there is no immediate access to emergency medical services

World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS): Global association supporting the Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting organizations in 145 countries

World Association Pin: WAGGGS membership pin worn by all Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in WAGGGS member countries
