Unacceptable Money-Earning Activities While girls and troops are encouraged to think of creative money-earning activities, some activities are not appropriate. Below are examples of inappropriate money-earning activities: • Girl Scout troops shall not participate in product demonstration parties, “restaurant nights”, raffles, drawings, game of chance, or endorsement of commercial products. A commercial product is any product sold directly to consumers. For example, product demonstration parties such as Tupperware, kitchenware or jewelry are not allowed • Girls may not sell gift cards • Girl Scout troops shall not participate in product demonstration parties, raffles, drawings, game of chance, direct solicitation of cash, Internet sales or the sale or endorsement of commercial products • Activities that resemble or include games of chance or gambling, including poker nights, raffles and drawings • Activities that represent partisan politics, such as a campaign event for a local congresswoman • Direct solicitations of cash, attendance prizes, awards, gifts or pledges
