Girl Scouts Love State Parks Patch Program Sept. 14-15, $5 per Girl Scout Do you want to earn the "Girl Scouts Love State Parks" patch but don't know where to start? Sign up for this patch program to earn the patch on your own or with your troop!

You will receive a list of state parks in GSEM’s jurisdiction and the activities they will offer on this weekend especially for Girl Scouts. Materials will also include a sample itinerary for ideas of what to do at some parks and a patch following the event.

Registration for this patch program is open now through Sept. 12—reserve your spot today!

Girl Scout Silver Award How Girl Scout Cadettes Make the World a Better Place! As Girl Scouts bridge into Cadettes they can choose a small group or work independently on the Silver Award. They will find an issue they care about, create a solution to the root cause and then take action with their sustainable project! Silver Award Training This course is for Girl Scout Cadettes who are interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Silver Award. Parents, caregivers and troop leaders are welcome to attend, too! This training will allow Cadettes to learn the steps necessary to complete their Silver Award project and how to submit their completion.

Girl Scout Gold Award How Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors Make the World a Better Place! Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts

going for the Gold Award work with a project advisor, mentor and a team to make a sustainable impact in their community. They will create a solution that can be measured for success and share their results and plans with others to make a global link. They become role models and real-life heroes in their community.

Gold Award Training These trainings are for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest leadership award a high school aged Girl Scout can earn. Parents, caregivers and troop leaders are welcome to attend a 2-hour training session, too! Girl Scouts pursuing the Gold Award are required to attend a training session before starting their project.

Go For Gold Program Aug. 1, 9:30 am-3:30 pm Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center $20 per Girl Scout; lunch provided Seniors and Ambassadors will have the opportunity to participate in this extended Gold Award training, meet the committee members who will mentor you, listen to a panel of previous Gold Award Girl Scouts and spend time brainstorming and researching options for your project.

Product Programs Way to Go, Girl Scouts! Give yourself a pat on the back—the Girl Scout Cookie season is over, and you did amazing things! What’s next? Your troop now has more funds to do the activities you planned. Maybe it’s a service project, or some field trips? The 2024 Cookie rewards you earned have also come in—be sure to ask your leader about these. Have a great summer, Girl Scouts—you deserve it!

Reedeem Your 2024 Trefoil Rewards Now!

Eligible programs are noted with the green Trefoil icon in this guide and the 2024 Camp Adventure Guide . Please reach out to answercenter@girlscoutsem.org to get the link to the Trefoil Rewards Redemption Form. Your redemption must be submitted by April 24 for June programs, May 24 for July programs, and June 24 for August programs. Requests to carry over to 2025 are due September 15.

If you’re a Girl Scout who sold 290+ packages of cookies this season, you earned Trefoil Rewards and should have received an email and postcard denoting your Reward. Be sure to redeem your Rewards before it’s too late! Use it for one of the eligible programs at your earned reward level or use it as a program discount for a higher cost program. For example, if you earned two Trefoil Rewards, you could redeem it for an eligible two night camp, two week-long day camps, or for a 45% discount (up to $270) for a higher-fee summer program. Alternatively, you can redeem it to be carried over to use in 2025.

As a member of a Robotics team, Girl Scouts gain hands-on STEM experience, along with problem-solving skills, teamwork experience and building self confidence, and other important life skills. Teams follow an innovative curriculum that combines engineering and science concepts with an exciting season theme. Girl Scout Robotics

Teams build and program a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. Friendly competition is at the heart of this robotics level.

Teams design, build, program, and operate metal robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format.

4 th -8 th grade 2-10 Girl Scouts per team $45 per Girl Scout

Each Robotics team must have two adult volunteer coaches. This does not need to be a troop leader and is a great way to get other adults involved! No previous experience necessary.

Program Description

Senior and Ambassador, Grades 9-12 The equestrian journey continues for intermediate riders with Saddle Sense. Girls continue to develop riding skills in the arena, ride the camp trails and enjoy a sleep out at the barn. Daily camp activities allow girls to enjoy target sports, swimming and campfires while developing skills in an outdoor environment. Location: Camp Cedarledge 63070 Must be at least 15 years old at the time of camp Make the leap from camper to leader during this leadership development camp. Equestrian Track will spend half of each day at the barn learning and practicing horse care, while assisting other campers with riding lessons and trail rides, along with increasing their own skills in advanced riding lessons. Counselor Track will spend time with camp units and program areas learning the leadership skills necessary to become camp staff. Location: Camp Cedarledge 63070 Must be at least 16 years old at the time of camp Fine tune leadership skills during your final year at camp! Campers will work with staff to focus on growth, maturity, and the technical skills necessary to apply for a staff position at camp in the future. Campers will spend time completing an internship at camp where they get the chance to lead and showcase their skills learned. Must complete L.E.A.P. 1 or Cadette, Grades 6-8 Cadettes will participate in hatchet throwing, archery, slingshots and much more in this target sports camp! Learn from target sports instructors while enhancing skills and accuracy while competing in a mini tournament at the end of the week. equivalent to register for L.E.A.P. 2. Location: Virtual Cadette, Senior and Ambassador, Grades 6-12 This camp showcases the best that Camp Cedarledge has to offer...the pool, craft shack, cooking s’mores over the campfire and sleeping out under the stars with new friends. Select from activities that interest you and enjoy the camp that you love! On this fun and interactive adventure, Girl Scouts will learn about quilting and sewing as an art form, explore the amazing shops throughout town, and learn how to sew by creating their own beautiful quilting project. Transportation, lodging, and meals are included in the cost of the program. Juniors earn their Craft and Tinker Badge. Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Grades 6-12 Explore the world of robotics, engineering, leadership, and LEGO! Girl Scouts will build LEGO robots, experience design challenges, and so much more during this overnight program. On Saturday, they will lead Girl Scout Daisies as they design and code to complete LEGO challenges. Dinner, snacks, and breakfast will be provided. Girl Scouts earn their Programming Robots, Designing Robots and Showcasing Robots Badges. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center 63146 Senior and Ambassador, Grades 9-12 This course is for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest community service award a high-school aged girl can earn. Location: Virtual and Girl Scout Service Center 63146 Senior and Ambassador, Grades 9-12 How often have you seen something that needed to be changed and wondered “why isn’t someone doing something about that?” This journey gives you a way to be that someone —an advocate with the power to start the first flutter of real and lasting change. While creating your own butterfly effect, you’ll learn skills such as networking, planning, and speaking up for what you believe. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center 63146 Cadette, Grades 6-8 This two-week equestrian adventure takes learning to the next level for our equestrian campers. Campers participate in an equestrian lesson each day, ranging from horse care and saddling to trail rides and walk/trot in the arena. Daily activities allow campers to continue to grow their outdoor skills and love of nature. Location: Camp Cedarledge 63070 Must be at least 15 years prior to the first day of camp Lifeguard in Training is the a great first step towards a job as a lifeguard. This camp teaches the fundamentals of lifeguarding and will focus on safety awareness and skill development that will enhance the future of each camper while having fun! Campers focus on five key areas: prevention of aquatic accidents, response in an emergency, leadership skills and professionalism. Cadette, Senior, Ambassador Grades 6-12 Girl Scouts will join the professionals at Maryville University to explore their five unique disciplines, including Nursing, Music Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Pathologist. Throughout the day, we will see the spaces that these disciplines use and participate in activities related to each profession. Lunch and snacks are included. Girl Scouts earn their Maryville Health Care Patch. Location: Maryville University 63141 Senior and Ambassador, Grades 9-12 This course is for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest community service award a high-school aged girl can earn. Girls going for the Gold Award are required to attend this training; they will learn the seven steps necessary to complete their Gold Award project and how to submit their proposal on Go Gold. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center 63146 Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors, Grades 4-12 Calling all thrill seekers! Girl Scouts will explore math, science and physics by observing (and riding) the mechanics of roller coasters and thrill rides at Six Flags Saint Louis. We will begin the day with a physics lesson and the afternoon will be spent completing a physics-themed scavenger hunt while enjoying the rides. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Girl Scouts earn the first part of the Think Like an Engineer Journey. Location: Six Flags 63025 Cadette, Grades 6-8 This course is for Girl Scout Cadettes who are interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Silver Award. Senior and Ambassador, Grades 9-12 Deepen your outdoor skills and appreciation with other older Girl Scouts! Seniors and Ambassadors will spend a weekend adventuring outdoors, sleeping under the stars, and honing their outdoor expertise. Tents and communal gear are provided by council. Girl Scouts are responsible for bringing a sleeping bag and other personal items (council has extras if needed). A virtual, evening prep meeting will be held the week before the program—date and details will be sent via email confirmation. Seniors and Ambassadors earn their Outdoor Journey. Both levels earn part of their Take Action Project. Location: Greensfelder County Park 63069 Cadette, Senior and Ambassador, Grades 6-12 Ready, set, aim! Girl Scouts will enjoy a day filled with aiming through two target sports: archery and hatchet throwing. Girl Scouts will learn the basics of the sports and the equipment, and have plenty of time to practice both target sports, as well as participate in fun competitions. Lunch is provided. Junior, Cadette, Senior and Ambassador, Grades 4-12 Explore the sport of archery—with an art twist! Girl Scouts will review archery basics while shooting at paint and tie-dye to create a unique archery art project. Girl Scouts will get to take their art home. Please dress appropriately—your clothes may get stained. Adults that sign up for the program will help fill balloons with paint/tie-dye and help with management of the art projects. Senior and Ambassador, Grades 9-12 This course is for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest community service award a high-school aged girl can earn. Parents, caregivers and troop leaders are welcome to attend, too! Girls going for the Gold Award are required to attend this training; they will learn the seven steps necessary to complete their Gold Award project and how to submit their proposal on Go Gold. Location: Virtual and Girl Scout Service Center 63146 Cadette, Senior and Ambassador, Grades 6-12 Explore the sport of archery closer to the city with Urban Archery at Forest Park! This program will introduce girls to safety, techniques, and fun of the sport, while rotating through archery-related stations while not shooting. Girl Scouts that have never shot archery or have only shot a few times will find this program most beneficial. Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors earn their Archery Badge. Location: Forest Park Archery Range Cadette, Grades 6-8 Woodworking gives you a feeling of accomplishment—you can make stylish useful things for yourself and others. In this badge, add to your talents with a skill Girl Scouts have been refining for 100 years—the ability to do it yourself. You’ll work with a hammer, saw, and level, and complete the badge by creating a unique wood piece of your own design. Cadettes earn their Woodworker Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center 63146 Cadette, Senior and Ambassador, Grades 6-12 In this Journey, girls will participate in an authentic research experience and start to see themselves as future scientists. Girl Scouts will be conducting experiments, interacting with scientists and sharing their data with the research lab at the Danforth Plant Science Center. They will learn how genetics relate to agriculture, food security, and bio-informatics. Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors complete their Think Like a Citizen Scientist Journey. Location: Danforth Plant Science Center 63132 Cadette, Grades 6-8 Be a sister to every Girl Scout! Girls will learn all about how they can help to create more inclusive spaces for people of all abilities through fun activities and positive conversations. They will learn what disabilities are, what inclusion means and how it applies to Girl Scout values, and how they can make a difference by treating people with respect.
