Offered to: Grades 9-10 Girls will use the science of style to create and imagine their own products. We’ll dive into the science behind makeup, perfume, fashion fabrics and skin care products. We’ll look at the evolution of style and begin to think about future style.
Girl Scout Seniors will earn their Science of Style Badge. Location: Virtual
Offered to: Adults Join us to learn about the LEGO Robotics Programs offered by Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri and how participation can benefit and inspire your girl. There are opportunities for Daisies through Ambassadors (K-12) to get involved with robotics and gain confidence in their abilities to positively use technology. All GSEM robotics teams participate in the FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Leagues. FIRST® aims to inspire girls to become science and technology leaders. This informational session will overview the GSEM Robotics Program, FIRST® Robotics, and what to do next if you or your girl are interested in becoming a member of the robotics program. Location: Virtual Grades 4-5 Juniors will learn about where animals live, how they play and how humans can help them to earn this badge. Juniors will learn about wild animals, including those whose homes are in our backyard, and those that live around the world. An at-home option is available for this program, please see pg. 18 for details. Girl Scout Juniors will earn their Animal Habitats Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 6-8 This program will help Cadettes determine a functional business plan/solution for selling a product to a specified client with a specified need. Whether it is selling something they made, selling Girl Scout Cookies or selling a service such as baby sitting this will help girls to think on their feet and understand the intricacies of planning. Girls will examine the qualities of a good business mission statement and create one of their own for their business. An at-home option is available for this program, please see pg. 18 for details.
