Offered to: Grades 2-3 You have five sense that let you see, hear, smell, taste and touch the world around you. Girl Scout Brownies will explore the world with all five and learn more about how our senses shape our world. Girl Scout Brownies will earn the Brownie Senses Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 11-12 Girl Scout Ambassadors can go on a leadership journey together in this program. Girls will understand the happiness they can achieve when they use their dreams to help others, and realize that a leader pursues her own dreams to inspire others to do the same. An Ambassador Journey is a prerequisite to the Girl Scout Gold Award. After this program, girls will need to implement a Take Action Project to complete the Bliss—Live It! Give It! Journey. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 7-12 Soar into STEM is a four-week, virtual STEM learning experience that provides middle and high school students with project-based learning, connections to STEM curriculum, and a front-row seat into the workings of global aviation nonprofit, Wings of Hope. Wings of Hope uses airplanes to change and save lives around the world. Girls will learn how planes fly, complete a preflight checklist, explore the design and development of aircraft, and participate in hands-on activities with flight. Location: Virtual Grades 4-5 In this Journey, fourth and fifth graders become leaders who energize, investigate and innovate as they explore their own energy, the energy of their places and spaces, and the energy of getting from here to there. Along the way, Dez, the fashionista spider, learns right along with the Juniors. The girls will also meet energizing artists, cooks, engineers and architects as they “Get Moving” to get others moving, too. A Junior Journey is a prerequisite to the Girl Scout Bronze Award. After this program, girls will need to implement a Take Action Project to complete the Get Moving Journey. Fold, glue and stitch your way to making your own simple book, and hear from a local expert on books. An at-home option is available for this program, please see pg. 18 for details.
