If a Girl Scout wants an in-depth look at what it takes to earn the Gold Award, the Go For Gold Workshop might be right for them instead (see Inspire Discovery for details as this workshop is solely for Girl Scouts). Go For Gold provides an opportunity for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors to meet Gold Award committee members, hear from prior Gold Award earners, network with other Girl Scouts, and spend time brainstorming and researching options for their project.

Gold Award Open Discussion

Level: Senior-Ambassador

Program Description: This program is an open discussion for Girl Scouts pursuing the Gold Award, the highest leadership award a Senior or Ambassador Girl Scout can earn. Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors, caregivers and leaders are welcome to attend to meet the Program Manager-Highest Awards and members of the Gold Award Committee. We will answer questions about requirements, ideas, proposals and components. We can also assist Girl Scouts to take the next step in their account on the GoGold website. Girl Scout Gold Award training is not a prerequisite but can be beneficial before attending the open discussion.
