F.R.O.G.s (Friendly Resource Options Guide) Training

Course Description: This course certifies volunteers to be Friendly Resource Options Guides (F.R.O.G.s) at the Anheuser-Busch Nature Center at Camp Tuckaho. Volunteers gain the knowledge they need to access and use exclusive supplies and activities that are unavailable to casual visitors at the Nature Center. Volunteers receive hands-on experience with a sampling of exciting nature activities you can do with your troop. Don’t miss it!

Missouri Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporter Training

Level: All

Course Description: Girl Scout volunteers and staff are considered mandated reporters in the state of Missouri. This course, provided by Missouri KidsFirst, explores how adults can identify and report child abuse and neglect to the Children’s Division of the Missouri Department of Social Services. Note that no cost registration with Missouri KidsFirst is required to access this two-hour course. Upload the completion certificate provided by Missouri KidsFirst to gsLearn to receive credit for completion. Course Access: Course available in the Content Library in gsLearn.

Navigating Conflict with Confidence (GSUSA)

Level: All

Course Description: In this interactive course, you will gain the skills to navigate challenging conversations in order to reach common ground with others (colleagues, volunteers, families, etc.) where emotions run high and positive outcomes are critical. The curriculum includes strategies to encourage a healthy mindset, recognize differences, and problem solve, so that you can confront and resolve conflict with confidence. This course consists of six modules ranging in length from 10 to 30 minutes (two hours total). Course Access: Course available in the Content Library in gsLearn.
