Offered to: Seniors | Ambassadors Grades 9-12 This course is for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest community service award a high school-aged girl can earn. Offered to: Junior Grades 4-5 Girls will have a chance to explore the Urban Buds: City Grown Flowers Farm to see how this woman-owned business grows more than 70 different kinds of flowers. Girls will uncover the science of flowers and find out how flowers help people—all while having fun! Girl Scout Juniors will earn their Flowers Badge.

Offered to: Cadette | Senior | Ambassador Grades 6-12 Today is International Women in Engineering Day! Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors will will learn how engineers solve problems, complete three hands-on design challenges, and meet professional engineers. Girls will design prototypes of a soda can holder that isn’t harmless to animals, a kinetic sculpture, and an assistive device for the elderly. Girls will also have the opportunity to see engineering work in action with a field trip. A Cadette Journey is a prerequisite to earning the Girl Scout Silver Award and a Senior or Ambassador Journey is a prerequisite to earning the Girl Scout Gold Award. Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors will earn their Think Like an Engineer Journey Award and know how to take action when they leave. Offered to: Cadette Grades 6-8 Learning about and caring for the outdoors helps us appreciate the world around us while learning valuable skills to become confident women. Cadettes will explore outdoors at night, take a hike, and camp in a tent. A Cadette Journey is a prerequisite to earning the Girl Scout Silver Award. Girl Scout Cadettes will earn their Outdoor Journey which includes Night Owl, Trailblazing, Primitive Camper, and Take Action badges. Grades 9-12 Join us for a staycation at Myrtle’s Manor where will discover what empowers us! Seniors and Ambassadors can relax at camp while enjoying some unique activities, special guests and field trip. During this time at camp, Seniors will complete their GIRLtopia Journey and Ambassadors will complete their Your Voice, Your World Journey. A Senior or Ambassador Journey is a prerequisite to earning the Girl Scout Gold Award. Girl Scout Seniors will earn their GIRLtopia Journey and Ambassadors will earn their Your Voice, Your World Journey. This program is Cookie Credit eligible. Location: West Tyson County Park, 131 N.
