MARCH 2021 Cadette MEdia Journey March 14 Start: 1 pm End: 4 pm $30 per girl; includes badge and Journey book Registration Deadline: Feb. 28

Offered to: Grades 6-8 Girl Scout Cadettes look for the ME in media and learn how they can shape media — for themselves, their community and the world. Completing a Cadette Journey is a prerequisite for earning the Girl Scout Silver Award and an essential step in completing the Journey is a Take Action Project in the community. This project will be completed outside the workshop. Girl Scout Cadettes will complete the Cadette MEdia Journey and know how to take action when they leave. All program supplies will be mailed directly to the girl’s household prior to the program.

Helping people is an important part of being a Girl Scout. Discover more about what people need by investigating ways to help people who are hungry, need clothes or are in an emergency. When they earn this badge, girls will learn how to be amazing philanthropists in their communities. Girl Scout Brownies will earn their Philanthropist Badge. All program supplies will be mailed directly to the girl’s household prior to the program.

Philanthropy for Brownies March 16 Start: 6 pm End: 7 pm $10 per girl; includes program materials and badge Registration Deadline: March 2

Location: Virtual and Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center

Offered to: Grades 4-5 Juniors will learn about simple machines and how they work together as they build their own heavy- lifting crane. Girls will test their creations, share the results and brainstorm ways to improve their designs. Girl Scout Juniors will earn their Mechanical Engineering: Crane Design Badge. All program supplies will be mailed directly to the girl’s household prior to the program.

Crane Design Challenge March 17 Start: 6 pm End: 7:30 pm $10 per girl; includes program materials and badge Registration Deadline: March 3

Love books? Learn how to make them during this creative, hands-on program! Fold, glue and stitch your way to making your own simple book, and hear from a local expert on books. Girl Scout Cadettes will earn their Book Artist Badge. All program supplies will be mailed directly to the girl’s household prior to the program.
