• In addition, Children’s Division will also ask for the following information: i. Name of the child; ii. Name of the parent(s); iii. Name of the alleged abuser; and, iv. Where the child is located. Step 3. If the alleged abuse involves a member, immediately call and confidentially report the concern to: • GSEM Senior Manager, Risk Management, Lisa Namnath at 314.592.2317. Step 4. If the alleged abuse involves a GSEM staff member immediately call and confidentially report the concern to: • GSEM Chief People and Culture Officer, Erin Huett at 314.592.2355.
Step 5. Complete a GSEM Standard Incident Report Form. • Access Standard Incident Report Form
• On the GSEM form, indicate that there is either disclosure or suspicion of child abuse or neglect. Include information of any witnesses and the involved parties. Expect a phone call from Council staff to discuss details of your report and any other helpful information you can provide.
• Submit the completed form to the GSEM Senior Manager, Risk Management, Lisa Namnath at Lnamnath@girlscoutsem.org .
Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri will not allow or tolerate any form of retaliation against individuals who report in good faith suspected instances of sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, molestation, neglect or violations of GSEM policies or who cooperate in the Council’s investigation of such reports.
Disqualification From Volunteer Participation
The following rules shall apply if the Council learns (via a criminal background search or otherwise) that a prospective or current volunteer has been convicted of, has pled guilty to, has received deferred adjudication for, is being investigated for or charged with or has pled no contest to one of the following crimes under the laws of the State of Missouri, another State or the United States:
Automatic ineligibility:
1. Crimes against children 2. Felony offenses against persons 3. Felony offenses against the family 4. Crimes defined as public indecency 5. Crimes involving the use of weapons 6. Arson 7. Any violent crime or felony drug- related offense, other than those drug offenses specifically identified below
