New Leader Onboarding: The Girl Scout Cookie Program (GSUSA)

This course reviews Girl Scout Cookie Program basics; how and why Girl Scouts sell cookies, who the bakers are that make the cookies, and how to use cookie proceeds with a troop. At each program level (15 minutes per level), discover exciting program options volunteers can explore with their troop as they build their entrepreneurial skills. Volunteers also learn cookie-selling safety and important ways to bring families and caregivers along in a troop’s cookie business adventure.

New Leader Onboarding: The Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSUSA)

Level: All

The framework we use to grow future leaders, also known as The Girl Scout Leadership Experience, sets Girl Scouts apart from other organizations. In this 15-minute course, volunteers learn how to facilitate the Girl Scout Leadership Experience with their troop in an age-appropriate way. They also learn how to apply this framework through the Girl Scout program as their troop ages.

This 20-minute course equips volunteers with the fundamentals to keep their troops safe during meetings and field trips. It also explores the “go-to” guide, Safety Activity Checkpoints , that helps their troops stay safe no matter where their adventures take them.

This 20-minute course provides new troop leaders with the structure and tools to plan a successful first troop meeting (and beyond) with their Girl Scouts.
