Hands-On Nature Activities

In our always-on culture, it can be challenging for Girl Scouts to maintain a connection to nature and the outdoors. Being outside and exploring nature contributes to challenge-seeking and problem-solving skills and makes Girl Scouts more likely to connect with and care for the environment. In this three-hour in-person course, participants engage in fun hands-on activities that can be shared with Girl Scouts of all ages to encourage them to deepen their connection to nature.

Slingshot Instructor Training

Level: All

Learn how to bring the fun of slingshots to Girl Scouts in this two-hour, in-person course. Because slingshot activities at GSEM camps use the same ranges and share the same setup and safety principles as archery, participants must have a current USA Archery Level 1 or Level 2 Instructor certification to take this course and lead a slingshot activity at our camps. This course is renewable every three years. Girl Scouts 16 years and older are welcome to participate.

Prerequisite: Current USA Archery Level 1 or Level 2 Instructor certification.
