Cooking for Crowds at Camp

Level: All

This five-hour, in-person course is required for volunteers who wish to use dining hall kitchens at GSEM camps. A minimum of one adult per kitchen crew must have this certification. Participants will learn food safety principles, dining hall kitchen policies, and the operation and maintenance of kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances through hands-on meal preparation.

F.R.O.G.s (Friendly Resource Options Guide) Training

Level: All

Give Girl Scouts who love nature the VIP treatment. This course certifies volunteers to be Friendly Resource Options Guides (F.R.O.G.s) at the Anheuser-Busch Nature Center at Camp Tuckaho. Participants receive hands-on experience with a sampling of exciting nature activities for all troop levels. This certification grants volunteers exclusive access to supplies and activities that are unavailable to casual visitors at the Nature Center.

Girl Scouts in the Outdoors (GSUSA)

Level: All

Getting outside is great for a Girl Scout’s overall well-being and growth, and it can be a fantastic part of the Girl Scout experience. This four-hour course from GSUSA introduces troop leaders to sharing the outdoors with their troops.
