New Leader Onboarding: What Girl Scouts Do (GSUSA)
Level: One Course Per Level
Course Description : Under this course title are six separate courses where leaders will learn What Girl Scouts Do at each program level (Daisy through Ambassador). Participants may complete courses only for the levels represented in their troop, or explore them all. This set of courses is replacing the three Grade Level Essentials (Daisy, Brownie, Junior) courses in gsLearn, and should be the starting point for new troop leaders and assistant leaders as they begin their roles.

New Leader Onboarding: Family Engagement—The Key to Success (GSUSA) Level: All
Course Description : Engaging families in their Girl Scout’s experience benefits troop leaders. Girl Scouts and families too. This course illuminates the value of family engagement and provides practical strategies for how to enlist family support. It also equips you with an agenda to plan a parent/caregiver meeting to set the tone for family engagement for the year. This course has two required parts. Part I takes approximately 20 minutes and Part II takes 10 minutes to complete.

New Leader Onboarding: Funding the Fun—Managing Girl Scout Finances (GSUSA) Course Description : In this course, leaders will learn the basics of managing their troop’s funds. We will highlight how troops fund meetings and activities. We will also review how troops manage and report their finances to their councils.

New Leader Onboarding: The Girl Scout Cookie Program (GSUSA)
Level: All
Course Description : In this course, leaders will learn the basics of the Girl Scout Cookie program. We will review how and why Girl Scouts sell cookies, who the bakers are that make the cookies, and how to utilize cookie proceeds with a troop. We’ll also review all the exciting program options leaders can explore with their troop as they build their entrepreneurial skills. Finally, we’ll go over cookie selling safety, and important ways to bring families and caregivers along in a troop’s cookie business adventure.

New Leader Onboarding: The Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSUSA)
Level: All
Course Description : What sets Girl Scouts apart from other organizations? The framework we use to grow future leaders, also known as The Girl Scout Leadership Experience. In this course, leaders will learn how to facilitate the Girl Scout Leadership Experience with their troop in an age-appropriate way. That way, they can apply the framework as their troop ages through the Girl Scout Program.
