Welcome to the Fall 2022 Lead & Learn!

Can you believe the cool days of autumn are just around the corner? As you dive into planning your troop year, Adult Education is here to support you with certification courses and other fantastic learning opportunities for fall and winter. As you browse this issue of Lead & Learn , you will notice a few updates—including a redesigned format. We streamlined the content and reorganized the course offerings in a way that we hope will make finding the training you need easy and intuitive. Courses and learning paths are now organized into categories by specialty area or audience. We also included detailed instructions for accessing gsLearn and registering for courses. You will find brand-new courses and favorite courses taught in more effective ways. Lead & Learn is 100 percent devoted to our Girl Scout volunteers and your learning needs. The online platforms introduced over the past couple years at GSEM have allowed Adult Education to innovate the way we offer training to our volunteers. The addition of gsLearn has been a game-changer. All courses and learning paths

are hosted and tracked in one convenient place—whether they are online, virtual, or in-person. The integration of Zoom into gsLearn means that our courses can reach more volunteers than ever before through virtual learning. Plus, the ability to offer more courses online enables us to take advantage of contemporary teaching methods like blended learning, which combines the convenience of online learning with valuable in-person skills practice. Our goal is to create more and better learning opportunities for every volunteer. Our courses evolve over time because we listen to valuable feedback. Look for many more course improvements in the future as you tell us what works and what does not. Take advantage of the Adult Education surveys that accompany each GSEM-created course in gsLearn, or give us your feedback personally. Supporting Girl Scout volunteers so that they can give girls fun, skill-building and exciting experiences is our number one priority.
