Fall 2022
Archery
Picture this: You place an arrow onto a bow, hook your fingers around the string, draw it back, eye your target and release! Bull’s eye! Archery is an exciting sport that takes strength and focus. Get ready to challenge yourself as you build your archery skills and share your knowledge with girls. This section includes USA Archery Level 1 and Level 2 Instructor courses, and outlines the new USA Archery procedures for course registration.
Certification for Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri’s archery program is provided through USA Archery. USA Archery offers Level 1 and Level 2 Instructor courses in a blended-learning format. Volunteers will complete the knowledge portion of the course prior to completing the in-person skills session at a GSEM archery range on one of our camp properties. Registration for USA Archery Level 1 or Level 2 Instructor begins by registering for an in-person practical skills session in gsLearn. Registrants then pay for and complete the online portion of the course on the USA Archery website.
To successfully complete the requirements for USA Archery Instructor, volunteers must:
1. Register for an in-person practical skills session in gsLearn. 2. Create a USA Archery account on the USA Archery website, then pay for and complete the USA Archery Instructor Certification online course and exam. 3. Go to the USA Archery website and register for the in-person skills session after passing the online exam. This will be the same session you registered for in gsLearn. 4. Complete the in-person skills session held at one of our camp properties.
