Offered to: Junior Grades 4-5 Juniors will explore powerful women throughout history, learn to recognize their individual powers and how they can contribute to a team, and how their power can be carried out into their communities. A Junior Journey is a prerequisite to earning the Girl Bronze Silver Award. Girl Scout Juniors will earn their Agent of Change Journey Award. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 8-12 Join Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri for a fun day of learning about the Girl Scout Gold Award. You will have the opportunity to: participate in Gold Award training, meet the committee members who will mentor you through the program and spend time brainstorming and researching options for your project This workshop is for current high school Girl Scouts who are interested in beginning their Gold Award. All Girl Scouts are eligible to earn this prestigious award, regardless if they earned the Silver Award as a Cadette. Please note that this is an expanded version of the required Gold Award training, therefore, if your Girl Scout attends this workshop, they will not have to attend the training. Location: Girl Scout Service Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Offered to: Senior Grades 9-10 A social innovator takes a social problem and develops a thoughtful solution. Girl Scout Seniors will explore social issues, brainstorm solutions, and practice pitching the idea. Girl Scout Seniors will earn their Social Innovator Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Offered to: Daisy | Brownie | Junior | Cadette | Senior | Ambassador Grades K-12 Join Girl Scouts from all over Missouri as we visit the state capitol in Jefferson City. Girls will have the opportunity to see how the state legislature works, what goes into creating our laws, and meet with their state legislators. Girl Scout Daisies will complete Step 2 of the Democracy for Daisies Badge, Brownies will complete Step 2 of the Democracy for Brownies Badge, Juniors will complete Step 2 of the Democracy for Juniors Badge, Cadettes will complete Step 2 of the Democracy for Cadettes Badge, Seniors will complete Step 2 of the Democracy for Seniors Badge, Ambassadors will complete Step 2 of the Democracy for Ambassadors Badge. Location: Missouri State Capitol, 201 W. Capitol Ave., Jefferson City 65101 Grades 6-12 We already know that women are awesome! But what does it take to be an outdoor adventurer as a woman? Hear inspiring stories of other women doing amazing things in the outdoors, and also learn practical tips that will make all your outdoor adventures easier as a women (e.g. taking care of personal care items on the trail).
