2021-22 Product Program Rewards Opt Out for Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Troops Opt out process: • Girls participating in the Treats & Reads and/or Cookie Program must vote by majority to opt out • Discuss the troop’s goal and whether it makes sense to opt out. If working toward a large trip or event, then the extra proceeds may be helpful. However, if the troop does not have a goal, or the goal is relatively small, then earning rewards may be better if there are some girls who still want them • All participating girls need to sign this form or submit their consent to the troop electronically • Troop leader or product programmanager notifies Council online at girlscoutsem.org/optoutform • Troop Product Programmanager selects to opt out in M2 or eBudde before Go Day (see guides) • Troop may choose to opt out for one program or both • One opt out form is sufficient for both programs and should be kept with the troop’s records _____ We would like to opt out during the Treats & Reads Program and receive 20% proceeds instead of the standard 15%. Girls will still receive all earned patches and Project Thank You Top 10 Sellers. _____ We would like to opt out during the Cookie Program and receive an additional $0.05 per package sold. Girls will still receive, as earned, all patches, rewards at the 1000 package level and higher, troop rewards, and the highest level of camp/travel coupons earned. Troop members: By signing this form, you are agreeing to forego traditional cumulative girl rewards and instead, receive additional proceeds for your troop during the 2021 Treats & Reads and/or 2022 Cookie Programs as indicated above.
