Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED Review: All

Certification Course

Prerequisite: Current (orwithin30days of expiration) AmericanRedCrossAdult andPediatricFirstAid, CPR/AEDcertification.

Certification: Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED certification is valid for two years. This course is for those who wish to renew their certification as a First Aider and their American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR/ AED certification has not expired or is within 30 days of expiration. Course Description: In this course, participants renew their American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR/ AED by attending an in-person skills session and demonstrating the required skills. Course Details: A course fee of $30 is due at registration. This fee covers the cost of the certification. Financial Assistance is available. The American Red Cross Participant Manual will be available for reference only during the course. An Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED Review can be completed on any date and time listed under Blended Learning. Register for an Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Review in gsEvents or by opening the course in gsLearn and following the provided link. For information on COVID-19 protocol for in-person courses, please refer to Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri COVID-19 Response Guidelines. Note: If your American Red Cross First Aid, CPR/AED certification is more than 30 days expired, you are not eligible to renew your certification by taking the Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED Review. You must complete the Blended Learning course.

Certification Course

Prerequisite: Current American Red Cross CPR/ AED certification Certification: Wilderness and Remote First Aid certification is valid for two years.

Course Description: This certification provides individuals with a foundation of First Aid skills so they can respond to emergencies and give care in areas without immediate emergency medical response (EMS). This certification is required when emergency medical response (EMS) will take more than 30 minutes to arrive. Successful course completion requires participation in all course activities and skill sessions. Some practice sessions may require strenuous physical activity.

Course Details: Girls 16 years of age and older are welcome to participate. The course fee includes the American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid Certification and the Remote First Aid Emergency Reference Guide.
