Fall 2021 Lead & Learn

Forms of Recognition

Girls Scout of Eastern Missouri places a high value on recognizing the adults who make a difference in girls’ lives. Appreciation for these contributions is expressed in many ways to recognize individuals or groups, in or out of Girl Scouts, for their unique service. 2022 Volunteer Recognitions

Recognition comes in many forms throughout the year.

Thank You: Everyone should get one! Informal recognitions, like thank you’s, should be used throughout the year. A thank you could include a greeting card, note or certificate (certificates can be secured by Girl Scout staff ). Special Thank You: These are reserved for a job well done. A special thank you could include a bouquet of flowers, small gift or a cake.

Service Awards: Service Awards are given for years of service with the organization.

Adult Recognitions: Adult Recognitions are given for outstanding service that leaves a lasting legacy or impact.

The Adult Recognitions Program offers a variety of distinguished awards to recognize individuals or groups at the Council, District and Neighborhood levels. Nominating volunteers for recognition has never been easier. Visit the Adult Recognition section of our website at girlscoutsem.org/adultrecognitions for more information about our streamlined award nomination process and instructions for electronic submission of award applications and nomination forms. Adult Recognition applications for the 2022 Volunteer Recognitions Ceremony are due on Feb. 7.
