Curriculum Core

The best foundation begins with learning the basics! These trainings provide volunteers with important information, ideas and procedures to fulfill various Council roles or take girls to camp! BASIC CAMPING SKILLS: ALL Learn and practice skills including fire building, knife safety, knot-tying and camp manners. This course does not meet the requirements for obtaining Troop Camp certification. This course will be held in two parts with a one-hour lunch break in-between. Please bring a lunch and drink.

GIRL SCOUT CEREMONIES: ALL Ceremonies help Girl Scouts mark special events throughout the year, such as bridging to another level, earning a National Leadership Journey award or receiving a Girl Scout pin. Volunteers learn how ceremonies can commemorate accomplishments and how to incorporate them into troop meetings. The course on 10/26 will be held in two parts with a one-hour lunch break in-between. Please bring a lunch and drink.
