Offered to: Grades K-3 Calling all Girl Scout families—reserve your spot today for Metro Theater Company’s "The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus!" This She/He and Me personal performance will be just for Girl Scouts and their parents. During the interactive theater experience, girls will be seated on the floor while the actors perform right in front of them. After the performance, girls participate in a Q and A and meet-and-greet. Don't forget those cameras for the special photo op! Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades K-1 Knowing how to be safe and when to call for help is important to learn at a young age. Girl Scout Daisies talk to first responders and complete the steps to earn their Daisy Safety Award. To help strengthen the skills she learns, each girl receives a family take-home kit which includes a mini booklet so her family can create their own emergency plan, and a DIY First Aid kit. An award is provided to each attendee. Girl Scout Daisies earn their Safety Pin. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades K-12 Enjoy the perfect family fall outing! During their visit to Pumpkinland, Girl Scouts will participate in a short tour, learning how Thies Farm cuts their corn maze in a behind-the-scenes look and enjoy full access to the Pumpkinland play area, farm animals and of course, the corn maze! Each child will receive a free small pumpkin and each Girl Scout will receive a patch. This is a family event. Each person will receive a snack and children under 2 years old are free. Girl Scout Brownies complete Steps 1 and 2 of their Fair Play Badge, Girl Scout Juniors complete Step 1 of their Detective Badge and Girl Scout Cadettes complete Step 2 of their Trailblazing Badge. Location: Thies Farm, 4215 N. Hanley Rd., St. Louis 63121 Grades 4-12 Volunteers of all ages and abilities assist the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department with a variety of tasks throughout the year. Girls are invited to help beautify the natural resources around the park by planting crocus bulbs at The Historic Daniel Boone Home. Stay after planting for a tour of the home. Please bring gardening gloves, and wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Girl Scout Juniors complete Step 1 of their Flowers Badge. Location: The Historic Daniel Boone Home, 1868 Highway F, Defiance 63341 Grades 6-10 During this interactive program, girls learn how to effectively lead their troop through basic leadership skills, goal-setting, team-building, conflict resolution, parliamentary procedures and more. Troop leaders should consider attending the Training Girls to Take Charge program at the same time to help create a girl-led environment.
