Boldly Bronze

Troop 392 earned the Girl Scout Bronze Award by helping special needs cats’ meow-ving into their fur-ever home. Our bold Girl Scouts, Marissa, Camryn, Ava, Morgan, Mallory, Caroline and Paige helped the staff at Tenth Life Cat Rescue by making adoption bags filled with food, litter, information and coupons. The assembled bags were then used to increase the adoption of special needs cats. Troop 392 learned that their good deeds can have a lasting, positive mark on the world. The Girl Scouts chose to complete their Bronze Award Project with Tenth Life because they are passionate about stopping the unnecessary euthanasia of cats who may have experienced trauma and now face emotional or physical issues. They wanted to help these special cats, who may not have other options, have a new and comfortable life!

Girl Scout Juniors across eastern Missouri are making big changes—when girls in grades 4-5 team up with others and use their amazing skills to take action they make a difference in the world! As the girls pursue their project, they put the Girl Scout Promise and Law into action. Girls develop more confidence, meet new people and have fun. They also deepen their understanding of sustainability and gain an appreciation for diversity and the wider world by discussing how others may experience the same problem that their project helped resolve.
