Use a variety of cooking methods while making scrumptious appetizers, main courses and desserts. Make it, eat, and enjoy! At the end of the week, campers will test their skills in a cooking challenge. Take a break from the heat and spend a week in the water. Stay cool with campers’ favorite water games and activities. Spend extra time at the lake trying canoeing and other water activities. Enjoy more time at the pool and a special evening swim. Travel by train to Chicago and spend four days exploring how science, technology, engineering, and math shape one of the most exciting cities in the country. Cruise the Chicago River on a guided architecture boat tour, dive into aquatic science at the Shedd Aquarium, and visit some of the city’s most famous landmarks. Girl Scouts will stay in private rooms in HI Chicago Hostel in downtown Chicago. During this camp, learn to rig and sail a Sunfish, paddle a canoe, and zoom around in a pedalboat. When not boating around, enjoy crafts, swimming at the pool, and other camp activities. Comfort in water and strong swimming skills required. Get ready for some epic memories at camp! EPIC Adventure is designed for campers looking for the ultimate challenge. Have a food fight, participate in team-building activities, obstacles, sleep under the stars, and tackle a high-adventure challenge. Cadettes work towards their Trailblazing Badge. Seniors earn their Adventurer Badge. Ambassadors work towards their Ultimate Recreation Badge. By staying up late and sleeping in, campers will have the opportunity to explore nature and experience activities in a way day-campers never could. Campers will have a “hoot” with evening canoeing, swimming, and staying up late to gaze at the stars. Pull an all-nighter at camp and watch the sunrise. Enjoy a sleep-filled day and eat breakfast at noon! Cadettes earn their Night Owl Badge.
