2026 Camp Adventure Guide
Grade Levels Register Girl Scouts according to their 2025-2026 grade in school. Patch A 2026 Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri Day Camp Patch is included in the cost of the registration fee. Some camps offer Day Camp-specific patches and T-shirts for an additional cost. Trefoil Rewards Girl Scout Day Camps are eligible for Trefoil Rewards, turn to pgs. 8-9 for all the details. Confirmation Letters Since each Day Camp has its own unique theme and activities, confirmation letters are sent from the Day Camp Director about two weeks before camp begins. Waitlist Camp capacity depends on the number of volunteers to maintain a safe adult-to-youth ratio. As more volunteers sign up, we’re able to move campers off the waitlist. To help their camper get a spot, adults must volunteer at least two full days. Campers on the waitlist follow the same refund policy as those enrolled. If a camper is still on the waitlist when the final payment is due, no payment is required, and they will be removed from the list. Refunds A written request must be provided to the Answer Center by the last registration date for the Day Camper to receive a refund. NO refunds will be given if a camp session is dismissed early or begins late due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions. Scholarships and Payments Day Camps with a fee of over $50 will require a deposit, even if a scholarship is requested. For programs $50 and above, please visit girlscoutsem.org/scholarship to apply online or download the application. If no scholarship is needed, please complete registration and deposit, then follow the balance due notification to submit final payment. Balance payments are due by May 1 for June camps and June 1 for July camps. Campers without a paid-in full balance by the due date will be removed from the roster without receiving a refund.
Step Into the Fun—Join the Volunteer Team! All Day Camps are made possible by a dedicated team of committee members and amazing volunteers—like unit leaders and program helpers—who bring the camp experience to life. Want to make a difference? Consider volunteering this summer! When a caregiver or adult family member volunteers full-time, their camper can attend for half price, helping us open more spots for campers. Adults who volunteer at least two full days are guaranteed a spot for their camper at Day Camp. To volunteer, adults must be registered members and have a current background check on file. Volunteer discounts for their camper are applied after camp ends and is verified by the Day Camp Director. Full payment is required upfront, and any eligible refunds will be processed afterward. Day Camps Need Older Campers to Help Lead the Fun! Looking for a way to stay involved with Day Camp? Older campers play a key role in supporting Day Camp by helping run activities and mentoring younger campers. There are several opportunities available at various camps across the area. Opportunities for 2025–2026 Grade Levels: Be sure to check each Day Camp for specific grade-level requirements when signing up. 1. Register for an Aide-in-Training (AIT) Unit Some Day Camps offer a special AIT unit that lets older campers participate in all the fun of camp while learning the skills needed to become an aide in the future. 2. Attend Aide Training Complete a training session before camp and you’ll be eligible to serve as a Day Camp Aide at one or more camps—whether it’s one a Girl Scout has attended before or a new one they want to explore. Please note: There is a fee to participate in Aide-in Training, but there’s no cost to serve as a Day Camp Aide once training is complete.
