2025 Camp Adventure Guide
Our Program Philosophy We believe everything that happens at Girl Scout Camp is part of the camp experience. Our campers grow through many different adventures during their stay. They try new things, build confidence and make new friends. They also spend time away from their families in a new environment. While at camp, they learn to be part of a community, to make decisions together, and to take responsibility for their actions and surroundings. They participate in kapers to keep camp areas clean and beautiful, share responsibilities at mealtimes and cook outs and support each other through new challenges and amazing adventures.
In our safe and supportive environment, campers become active and engaged participants in the learning process!

Trefoil Rewards Adventure Awaits with Cookies & Camp! The Girl Scout Cookie Program benefits Girl Scouts in many ways—learning how to set goals, make decisions, manage money, work with people and more. Did you also know it can also help a Girl Scout participate in Girl Scout summer programs? At three package goals, Girl Scouts can earn Trefoil Rewards, which they can use as follows: • Redeem for an eligible program during summer 2025 and the Trefoil Rewards may cover the entire fee • Redeem Trefoil Rewards as a discount for a summer 2025 program their Trefoil Rewards may not fully cover • Carry over the full Trefoil Rewards to 2026 instead of using them in 2025
Don’t wait until the Cookie Program ends— register for summer 2025 programs now to reserve a spot! Using Trefoil Rewards 1. Girl Scout registers for desired summer 2025 program and pays any applicable deposit at time of registration 2. Trefoil Rewards Frequently Asked Questions
Can Trefoil Rewards be used for program deposits? Trefoil Rewards may not be used for program deposit fees or for events hosted by outside organizations. Members must still pay the deposit to demonstrate program commitment and secure their spot. Once Trefoil Rewards are applied, and it covers the entire fee, the deposit will be refunded. Will earning Trefoil Rewards give me priority registration for a program? Trefoil Rewards do not guarantee a spot in any program or allow for priority registration. All programs are first-come, first-served. What if I don’t register my Girl Scout until the later tiered pricing? We recommend caregivers register their Girl Scout at the lower price tier. If their Girl Scout earned one or two Trefoil Rewards and are registering for a three-Trefoil Rewards program, their Trefoil Rewards discount will be applied based on the camp fee at the date of registration. If their Girl Scout earned three Trefoil Rewards, they must pay any portion of the fee over $450. Do I need to wait to register for a program until we receive notification that our Girl Scout earned Trefoil Rewards? Programs fill up quickly! Caregivers should go ahead and register now and pay the deposit to hold their Girl Scout’s spot. We do not recommend waiting until March or April to register for a summer program. Trefoil Rewards will be applied in the spring. Can I transfer my earned Trefoil Rewards to another Girl Scout? Trefoil Rewards may only be used by the Girl Scout who earned them and are not transferable. Financial assistance is available to families with a need. What if I am on the waitlist for a program? Please do not submit the Trefoil Rewards Redemption form until the Girl Scout is fully registered for a program. If they do not get into the program for which they are on the wait list, and they wish to carry over Trefoil Rewards, caregivers must submit the redemption form by September 15, 2025.
Will you automatically apply any Trefoil Rewards to a balance? No. Caregivers must complete the Trefoil Rewards Redemption Form to let us know what program Trefoil Rewards must be applied to. This link will be provided in the email and postcard communication that goes out after the Cookie Program ends. How do discounts work if I have a returning camper/multi-camp discount? If a Girl Scout has a returning camper/multi-camp discount, the Trefoil Rewards discount would be applied to the original cost of the camp or program at the time they registered. Returning camper/multi-camp discounts will then be applied. Any financial aid would be applied after discounts and Trefoil Rewards as applicable. If I’m volunteering for a camp program, can I split a Trefoil Reward so I can use it for more than one program? We appreciate adults who can volunteer for summer programs! Trefoil Rewards are intended to provide a summer program for a Girl Scout. One Trefoil Reward cannot be split individually into more than one program. Those earning two or three Trefoil Rewards may use them for more than one Trefoil Rewards-eligible program. Can I apply for an Activity Scholarship and use Trefoil Rewards? For those with a financial need, they may apply for an activity scholarship, following scholarship guidelines. Any scholarship awarded will be credited against a balance due after Trefoil Rewards have already been applied. Activity Scholarships may not be used in lieu of Trefoil Rewards.

2025 Day Camps Day Camps are the perfect option for busy summer schedules and first-time campers! Girl Scouts will have fun in the sun playing team-building games, singing songs, exploring nature and even getting a little messy in the great outdoors. Led by volunteers throughout our council, Day Camps help campers explore their unique communities at a variety of sites, including state and local parks, community centers and Girl Scout camps. Grade Levels Register Girl Scouts according to their 2024-2025 grade in school. Patch A 2025 Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri Day Camp Patch is included in the cost of registration. Some camps offer Day Camp-specific patches and T-shirts for an additional cost. Trefoil Rewards Girl Scout Day Camps are eligible for Trefoil Rewards, turn to pgs. 8-9 for all the details. Confirmation Letters Since each Day Camp has a unique theme and program activities, confirmation letters are sent from the volunteer directors of each Day Camp at least two weeks prior. Waitlist Capacities are based on the number of volunteers to maintain the adult-to-youth ratio. Campers come off the waitlist as more volunteers are secured. Campers on the waitlist are subject to the same refund policy as those who have been accepted into the program. Adults must volunteer at least two full days during the day camp for their camper to come off the waitlist. If a camper is on the waitlist when the balance is due, payment is not expected and the camper will be removed from the waitlist. Refunds A written request must be provided to the Answer Center two weeks prior to the start of the program to receive a refund. No refunds will be given if a camp session is dismissed early or begins late due to unforeseen extreme weather conditions. Financial Assistance and Payments Day Camps with a fee over $50 will require a deposit, even if financial assistance is requested. For programs $50 and above, please visit girlscoutsem.org/financialaid to apply online or download the application. If no financial assistance is needed, please complete registration and deposit and then go to the balance due notification to complete the full payment. Payment of the balance is due by May 1 for all June camps and June 1 for all July camps. Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri will cancel registrations for any camps where the balance payment is not completed by the due date.
10 2025 Camp Adventure Guide
Volunteer All Day Camps are planned and staffed by volunteers—consider serving in a volunteer role this summer! When caregivers or other adult family member volunteers full-time, their Girl Scout gets to attend for half price and the Day Camp can accommodate more campers. Adults who volunteer at least two days are guaranteeing their Girl Scout a spot at Day Camp. Volunteer needs to be a registered Girl Scout member and must complete a background check. Fill out a volunteer application at girlscoutsem.org/daycamp . Volunteer discounts will be applied following the conclusion of the Day Camp and verification by the Director. Payments should be made in full and a refund will be provided. Day Camp volunteers smile at camp because.... “I love when Girl Scouts come in day after day and their confidence grows, they are smiling, and they are looking for their new friends. It’s the friendship and new skills that make camp great!” - Alex T., Whatchamacallit volunteer “Watching the older Girl Scouts when they become aware that they actually can do the leading. The awareness of self confidence is amazing to see on their faces.” - Beth S., Thingamajig volunteer Aides We are looking for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors interested in helping at Day Camp. To become a Day Camp Aide, there are several options: • Register for an Aide-in-Training (AIT) unit at a specific Day Camp. This unit is open to older Girl Scouts to work with unit leaders and younger campers, all while attending Day Camp. See pg. 12 for camps that have this unit available. • Attend a Day Camp Aide Training. See below for the trainings offered in 2025. • All grades listed for aides are for 2024-2025. Aides must have completed that grade to be an aide at a day camp. There is a fee to participate in the training, but there is no cost to serve as a Day Camp Aide. Once an aide has been trained, they can pick their favorite camp and complete a Camp Volunteer application. Please visit girlscoutsem.org/forms to download the application.
