On this Extreme Adventure, Girl Scouts will take part in Girl Scout appropriate activities modeled after The Amazing Race. Girl Scouts will work together in small teams to solve clues, cross rugged terrain, interact with new people, and try to finish the race before the other groups. They do not need to have any previous experience, although this will be an active program so proper attire and being able to handle the outdoors is needed. This is a day program—lunch and snacks are provided. The Extreme Adventures programs offer 6-12 grade Girl Scouts unique and "extreme" outdoor related opportunities—see pg. 8 for more information about the program.

Grades 6-8

By guiding or teaching others, Girl Scouts act as a mentor. As a Girl Scout mentor, girls gain experience by sharing skills, testing knowledge, and trying out new leadership roles. The younger girls they mentor get a chance to be with and learn from older Girl Scouts—some of their favorite people! In this program, Girl Scouts will become a certified Program Aide, and will even get to help facilitate the She and Me and a Cup of Tea Program. Following completion of this training, girls will be able to sign up to assist at other Girl Scout events as well! This program has two required program sessions, and Girl Scouts will be required to volunteer for the She and Me and a Cup of Tea event on April 27. Dinner is provided for both training sessions.

Girl Scouts earn their Program Aide Award.
