Let's go on a Daisy Journey! In this program, Daisies will learn about different animals, how caring for animals is similar to caring for themselves, make lots of nature-inspired crafts, and do a Take Action Project that educates the community.

Are the mushrooms found in backyards edible? During this program, Girl Scouts will consult with an expert from Wild Seeds Field Museum and learn about different mushrooms that are edible. We will only identify (not pick) mushrooms, but Girl Scouts will be able to try provided samples. Girl Scouts will also learn about ethics and mindfulness regarding edible and non-edible plants and our natural landscape. Registered adults will also be able to participate in the program.

Grades 4-5

Girl Scouts will learn how citizen scientists make observations, collect data, and help scientists conduct scientific research. Then, they’ll apply what they’ve learned by surveying and identifying the living things that call camp home—including flowers, birds, reptiles, mammals and more! Juniors will record their findings and share their observations with researchers and scientists using iNaturalist as part of the City Nature Challenge.
