Girl Scouts—All Girls, Everywhere Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri offers our members high-quality programming at affordable prices, including summer camp. In general, the cost to deliver our programs is more than the fee that we charge to participate. We are able to keep the fees reasonable with the amazing support of the Treats & Reads Program, the Girl Scout Cookie Program and donations to our Gifts for Girls Annual Fund. We also offer financial assistance for membership fees, programs, including camp, and uniforms so that ALL girls have access to the full breadth of the Girl Scout experience. Since 1912, girls have explored and strengthened their outdoor skills and commitment to environmental stewardship through Girl Scouting. Guided by supportive adults and peers, Girl Scouts discover the wonders of nature, experience the thrill of adventure, and challenge themselves and one another to reach new heights. These experiences hone their outdoor and leadership skills, inspire them to protect the environment and reinforce friendships that last. When Girl Scouts participate in outdoor programming, they benefit in important ways: Outdoor Competence Girl Scouts engage safely and responsibly in a range of outdoor activities like practicing Leave No Trace principles, and knowing what to bring to be prepared in the outdoors. Outdoor Confidence Girl Scouts have confidence in their abilities, and are willing to try new and challenging outdoor activities. Outdoor Interest Girl Scouts have a love of nature and an interest in the natural world. Environmental Stewardship Girl Scouts understand how their behaviors impact the environment, and what they can do to protect our natural resources.
