Coming Soon To Camp! The Her Future is Our Future Comprehensive Campaign will reach the Girl Scout green finish line at the end of 2022, and many capital projects included in our Camp Master Plan are already underway at our three camping properties. This plan—developed with input from staff, girl members and volunteers—outlines aesthetic and structural renovations to each camping location over the next three to five years, that will enhance the outdoor experiences of our Girl Scouts, while improving the structure and accessibility of the on-site facilities. We are excited to give our Girl Scout families a preview of some of the projects launching in the coming months!

Air Conditioning

Air conditioning will be installed in the Dining Halls at Camps Tuckaho and Cedarledge. In addition to:

Camp Tuckaho Lodges • Tuck East, Tuck West, Sacajawea, Carver House, Boone’s Loft, Tuck Hall and Health Lodge Camp Cedarledge Lodges • Lucky Stone, Bright Star and Petite Chalet

Tables/Benches Over the next several years we will be replacing the tables in the units at all three camp properties and adding some freestanding tables that can be used as a gathering or program place. Each unit will have an ADA accessible table. We will also place square tables at various locations at each camp—including ADA accessible.

Gates and Security We are installing a unified entry

management system at all three camps with new motorized gates that can be controlled and monitored remotely. One of the features includes a keypad entry system that records all entries and exits as individuals arrive at and leave the camp properties. The gates and security project will begin installation later this year.
