From scaling the climbing wall to discovering the beauty of camp on horseback, there are activities at Troop Camp for every Girl Scout!

Horseback Riding

Discover the thrill of horseback riding at Camp Cedarledge! The Cedarledge Equestrian Center is run by experienced wranglers who help Girl Scouts of all levels enjoy and learn about horses. Program fees range from $20-$45 per participant and are available on Saturdays and Sundays in April, May, September and October. Registration for upcoming horseback riding programs will be available with the spring 2023 Inspire Discovery on Feb. 2. You do not have to camp to participate in horseback riding at the Camp Cedarledge Equestrian Center.

Troop Outdoor Adventure Course Challenge

Building troop camaraderie, improving communications, and developing resourcefulness are just a few reasons why the Outdoor Adventure Course (OAC) challenge is a great experience for Girl Scout Cadettes (6th grade and 12 years or older) and older. Trained facilitators will lead participants through this active, exciting weekend. Reservations are on a first-come, first served basis, and each troop must have a minimum of eight participants. Troops are responsible for adult/girl ratios and all food for the weekend. Troops will have an in-town meeting with a lead instructor before the camp experience. Registration for Cricket Corner will open on Feb. 2 in Doubleknot. Grades 6-12, must be at least 12 years old at time of program Dates: Select weekends April-October Cost: $115 for the weekend The Outdoor Adventure Course is looking for volunteers to train to be an instructor! Volunteers who are interested in training to assist on the weekends at Cricket Corner would attend a New Instructor Training in March 2023.
