Offered to: Junior | Cadette Grades 4-6 NASA Inspires Futures for Tomorrow's Youth (NIFTY) is a new series program for Juniors and Cadettes. The program consists of eight events, including workshops at the Program Center and field trips. Through these events, Girl Scouts will explore NASA missions and careers through interactive activites and NASA role models. We ask that Girl Scouts commit to participating in at least seven of the eight events offered. Transportation not provided for field trips. Girl Scout Juniors will earn their Space Science Investigator Badge and Girl Scout Cadettes will earn their Space Science Researcher Badge. Grades 2-3 What do you see and hear when you explore the outdoors? There are so many amazing adventures waiting for you, so come join us and get ready to see nature and play outside in a new way! Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Offered to: Brownie Offered to: Cadette Grades 6-8 Babysitting is a great way to build responsibility and caregiving skills (and earn some extra money!). Whether you are getting ready to start babysitting, or you’ve already started, this badge will help you become the best babysitter you can be. We’ll cover how to start your babysitting business, professionalism, important first aid skills, and child development. Participants will receive a certificate of completion for the course. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 4-5 As you grow up, it’s time to start taking care of yourself. From staying home alone to walking to school to shopping alone, there’s a lot to learn about! We will start down the road to independence so you can feel confident on your own, show your family they can trust you, and gain the knowledge needed to keep yourself safe and healthy. We’ll cover basic first aid, safety and emergencies, and self-care skills. Grades 4-5 Juniors will gain an understanding of just how limitless their potential can be as they combine storytelling with the many roles – real and creative – that the world has to offer. Girls will have fun trying on roles and learning about people and the power of real-life action and leadership. This is an overnight program, dinner, snacks, and breakfast will be provided. Girl Scout Juniors will earn their Amuse Journey by completing each of the Journey Badges. Offered to: Junior Girl Scout Juniors will earn their Independence Badge.
