Question: How can we set up a QR code for a girl or troop’s digital cookie site? Answer: If you copy the link and search online for a free QR code creator or generator, it is relatively easy to find a variety of sites which can create a QR code image for free. The Digital Cookie app also features a QR code that you can pull up and share directly with a customer, or you can take a screenshot, then copy and paste into a flyer, etc. Within the app, click Share My Site, and the QR code will come up.

Managing Your Troop in Digital Cookie

Question: Do Digital Cookie orders automatically populate into eBudde? When and how do cookies from girl delivered orders in Digital Cookie arrive? What is the window of availability for girl delivered orders in Digital Cookie? Answer: Digital Cookie orders for girl delivery that are placed from January 3-January 31 (or when the troop submits their initial order, if before Jan. 31) will show up under the girl on the initial order tab in eBudde. Digital Cookie orders placed after that date will show up in the girl order tab. Digital Cookie packages for girl delivery after this cut off will need to be added to the girl in eBudde once the girl has secured the cookies to fulfill the order. Until then, only the money received for such orders will show up on the Girl Order Tab. If a troop needs extra cookies to fulfill girls’ additional girl delivery orders or goal getter orders, they can pick them up at a nearby cookie cupboard. Not allocating cookies for post-initial girl delivered orders could negatively impact girl rewards. The girl-delivered option is available in Digital Cookie through March 13. Troop Cookie Managers have until March 22 to complete all transactions necessary to distribute cookies to Girl Scouts in their troops. Question: When parents enter their paper order cards in Digital Cookie, do they receive a confirmation of their entry? Where is there more training on entering paper order cards in Digital Cookie? Do Troop Cookie Managers need to approve order card orders entered in Digital Cookie? Answer: More information on how to enter the Initial Early Order through Digital Cookie are available through girlscoutsem.org/cookies. TCMs do not need to approve anything on the Digital Cookie side, the information simply needs to be transferred to eBudde by downloading the report in Digital Cookie and adding those cookies into eBudde. Of course, please be on the lookout for anything that seems strange and confirm with families. Question: If we need to add girls to Digital Cookie or eBudde whom should we contact? Answer: New girls and troops will be uploaded periodically throughout the program. To have a girl added more quickly, contact the Answer Center at answercenter@girlscoutsem.org . Question: Can I access all accounts (girl/parent and adult volunteer) from the Digital Cookie app? Can you set up a site from the app or does it need to be done online? Answer: The Digital Cookie app is an app for mobile devices that you can find in your app store. The app is only for girl/parent-side accounts, you cannot use a volunteer account on the app at this time. The app only works during our sale and accounts must be set up through the website starting December 20. Question: Can Troop Cookie Managers change girl links in their troop to be direct shipping and donation only? Answer: Girl links will automatically be set to include girl-delivery through the initial order period. We would encourage Troop Cookie Managers to consult with their families before making any changes after that point. Question: Why does my Digital Cookie show one number for cookies sold and eBudde shows a different number? Answer: Your Digital Cookie platform will show all cookies ordered for girl-delivery, shipped and donated cookies. eBudde will only show the shipped and donated cookies in the “Girl Orders” tab until you submit your troop’s initial order. The girl-delivery orders will appear as payments only in the “Girl Orders” tab. Running totals of girl-delivered orders by variety appear in the “Initial Order” tab until the Initial Early Order is submitted. When the initial order is submitted, you will see all cookie orders in eBudde. This year, based on Troop Cookie Manager entry, some information, including total number of packages sold, will flow back to Digital Cookie so that Girl Scouts can see their total progress towards rewards. These numbers are based in part on how the Troop Cookie Manager enters the information. We recommend keeping detailed records of cookies that have been given to Girl Scouts to make accounting for any discrepancies easy throughout the season.
