2022 Troop Cookie Manager Guide

Customer Orders

Question: I have a customer who accidentally placed a shipping order and wants to make it girl-delivery. Can we fix this? Answer: Shipped orders begin processing immediately after the order is placed and often there is not a long enough window between placing the order and leaving the warehouse to cancel the order after. Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri cannot cancel, adjust or otherwise change or account for shipped Digital Cookie orders. Any issues with a shipped order must go through Digital Cookie Customer Support. This year, customers and Girl Scouts will be able to see information about shipped order status and tracking through Digital Cookie. Question: Do orders on individual girl Digital Cookie links need to be approved by parents? Answer: Orders on individual girl Digital Cookie links will need to be approved by parents when they are for girl delivery to ensure girl safety. Approval must be completed within five days. Parents will receive one reminder email. Troop Cookie Managers can see which girls have orders to approve from their Digital Cookie volunteer login. If you have published a Troop Digital Cookie link, the volunteer contact for the site will receive order approval emails for any girl-delivery orders. Question: I wasn’t able to approve a girl-delivery order in time and it defaulted to donation. How do I reverse this? Answer: While you can’t reverse or refund the order, you can manage this with your troop cookie manager. Find out from the customer what their order was supposed to be. Then, make sure your troop cookie volunteer adds those varieties into eBudde for your initial order or later order, as if you took the order on your paper order form. The cookie manager will need to do a negative transaction in the PTY line for the number of packages donated on that customer order. This will balance out money due and ensure you get the cookies for that customer. Question: Will there be any changes to shipping costs through Digital Cookie? Answer: Shipping costs through Digital Cookie are based on the national contract that GSUSA reaches with their shipping partner. The shipping industry has been under increasing strain due to the challenges and demands the COVID-19 pandemic has continued to create, such as a tight labor market and increased transportation costs. As a result, shipping costs are going up across the board, impacting all organizations, including Girl Scouts. As in previous years, Digital Cookie is unable to ship to international addresses. There is a $5 surcharge for shipping to APO/FPO/DPO addresses, Alaska and Hawaii and US Territories. Customers may choose to order cookies for direct shipping from January 3 – March 20 via Digital Cookie. Digital Cookie also provides the option for girl delivery through March 13 to avoid shipping costs for customers. Any updates regarding shipping or shipping promotions will be communicated through the eBudde Cookie News. Question: When will cookies ordered during the beginning of the sale ship or be delivered? Answer: Digital Cookie orders for direct ship will begin processing immediately after the order is placed and is fulfilled the next business day. Choosing shipped cookies early in the season is a great way to fill cookie cravings early. The 2022 rates are as follows: • 4 – 8 packages: $12.99 • 9 – 12 packages: $14.99
